Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
